Choosing the right category

  • If your clinic dispenses medicines, choose the dispensary category, not consultation only.
  • If you do any diagnostics on site (lab, X-ray, ultrasound, ECG), the diagnostic support category usually applies.
  • Any short stay or observation bed moves a clinic to the observation category.
  • Hospitals are classified by the specialities they offer, not just by bed count.

A wrong category means a wrong fee and usually a returned application. KPME for clinics and KPME for dental clinics explain the most common cases.
