KPME for hospitals
Hospitals are registered by level. Pick the right one, line up every licence, and use NABH to fast-track renewals.
- Clinics, labs, dental and hospitals
- All districts of Karnataka
- Portal filing, documents and inspection support
For hospitals and nursing homes, the KPME category is decided by the level of care you provide. The level sets the fee, the inspection checklist and what the inspector expects to see.
Hospital levels and fees
| Level | What it usually means | Portal fee |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1A (H1A) | Basic inpatient care in general specialities | Rs 25,000 |
| Level 1B (H1B) | Level 1A plus more specialities and support services | Rs 37,500 |
| Level 2 (HL2) | Specialities such as orthopaedics, ENT, ophthalmology, emergency with or without ICU, anaesthesia, with pharmacy, lab, imaging and OT | Rs 50,000 |
| Level 3 (HL3) | Non-teaching super-speciality hospital | Rs 1,25,000 |
| Speciality-specific (SSH) | Single speciality or super-speciality hospital | Rs 1,25,000 |
| Level 4 (HL4) | Teaching hospital | Rs 2,50,000 |
Exact definitions for each level are in our KPME categories guide. A maternity or nursing home is placed in the level that matches its services.
