Portal file rules that cause rejections
- Documents must be PDF files of no more than 500 KB each. Large scans must be compressed.
- The owner’s photograph must be no more than 25 KB.
- Staff certificates are uploaded as JPG or GIF images.
- Certificates with an expiry date (fire, pollution) must be entered with the correct date. Expired documents hold up approval.
- Names must match across Aadhaar, council registration and certificates.
Tip: keep a single folder with every document already compressed and named clearly. It makes the renewal five years later much faster too. See the KPME renewal guide.
